about
Lakuna, the one-off project helmed by Throwing Muses' drummer David Narcizo and producer Frank Gardner, proudly present the vinyl-only reissue of their sole LP, "Castle of Crime." Remastered by Fred Thomas, this album uncovers a long-lost alternate mix found on a DAT tape by Gardner, featuring two rare tracks. With contributions from Kristin Hersh on guitar loops and Misi Narcizo on keyboards, "Castle of Crime" is a captivating journey through various styles of late-20th Century electronic music. The album includes sample and loop-based tracks along with live instrumentation, touching on the electronic music of the time while never departing from its own sonic world. Featuring two ultra-rare tracks including fan favorite "Cheerleader," previously dropped from the 4AD version, this one-time pressing is limited to just 300 copies on white vinyl. This collector's edition offers an exclusive auditory experience as no digital or CD release is planned. Originally released in 1999. Ships early December 2023.
